Manny Cosme


President and CEO

An entrepreneur with diverse accounting experience and a love for sharing knowledge, Manuel “Manny” Cosme is driven to help other small businesses.  Working in large and small companies - and for himself - Cosme witnessed that ongoing struggles with financial responsibilities often hold businesses back from their goals. He saw a solution and made it happen with the creation of CFO Services Group.


With more than 15 years focus on managing finances and administration, Cosme has the high-level experience and training that his clients need and want. He worked as a financial statement auditor in a national public accounting firm and left to join a small accounting firm focusing on bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation for small businesses.  He jumped at the opportunity to purchase the payroll processing portion of the business and incorporated it under the name of PBSG, Inc.  After three years, he successfully positioned the company and sold it to a major competitor, Fortune 500 payroll company ADP.  


Having realized how much he loved running a business, Cosme began looking for an opportunity to create one from the ground up as he gained more management experience. He became the accounting manager for the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and then moved across the country to accept the position of Chief Financial Officer for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C.


After three years as CFO, Cosme felt the time was right to launch his new business. He created CFO Services Group in 2012 and looks forward to building a national clientele. “I believe in the entrepreneurial spirit and I believe in helping others.”


Cosme credits his training as a relationship coach and his spiritual studies for his approach to understanding and advising his clients.  


“Listening, educating, being proactive. Those are the ways I can make a difference,” he said. “Owners seem comfortable talking to me and that helps head off problems.”

In addition to leading the team at CFO Services  Group, Cosme serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for both the Equality Chamber of Commerce DC Metro Area and the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and is Finance Chair for Entrepreneur Organization DC Accelerator program.


Cosme graduated summa cum laude from the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary's College in California, with a dual major in Accounting and Economics and a minor in Mathematics.

Lin Walker

Accounting Services Manager

Lin Walker is a primary point of contact at CFO Services Group and her extensive business background provides a broad perspective for helping you with day-to-day details and big-picture decision making. She has been with the firm since June 2017 and also has experience in the nonprofit accounting sector, hands-on operations management at smaller businesses and HR expertise.

As a senior lead accountant, Walker onboards new clients, provides CFO-level consulting and strategy, conducts quality control reviews of client files and provides training to strengthen the skills of our growing staff. She was promoted to the position in October 2018 and is devoted to developing a strong team. “We all work well together and my mission is to build on that teamwork with consistency, new skills and communication.”


Previously she served as senior accountant for the donor-advised fund Razoo Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, where she supervised and ran disbursements of millions of dollars in donations. She also was the operations manager at Garza Law Firm in Rockville, Maryland, and HR and accounting manager at Global HealthCare China in Shanghai. Previous positions provided her a solid foundation of accounting and bookkeeping skills. Her experiences created a strong appreciation for diversity.  “I’ve worked and traveled all over the world. I love knowing different people and different cultures. I’m an open-minded person to work with,” she said.

When her career took her to China, she volunteered at an orphanage for children awaiting surgery and adoption. Outside of the office, Walker loves traveling “to anywhere with water.”

​Walker is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University-Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Nick Lowe

Lead Accountant

Nick has been fascinated with numbers ever since he can remember.  As a child, he kept up with sports statistics every day to see who was leading a league in a specific category and then projecting what their ending season stats would be.  He turned his love for numbers into a career starting at the age of 18 when he became the full-charge bookkeeper for a Baltimore-based medical grade tattooing spa, gaining expertise in using QuickBooks to manage the finances for a small and growing business.


Shortly after his term at the spa, Nick opened his own bookkeeping firm.  He was passionate about not only doing the bookkeeping for his clients, but also in teaching them how to understand and use the numbers on the financial statements to help them manage their businesses.  He realized that finances can be very overwhelming to a small business owner and can send somebody into a panic, so he always kept that in mind when speaking to his clients and always kept a very calm and collective attitude, never letting the pressure get to him.


After running his business for several years, Nick decided to enroll in university to pursue a formal educational degree in Accounting, which he is on track to complete by year 2020.  In the meantime, Nick has completed several certifications, including the QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.


Nick is excited to take on the Full-Charge Accountant position here at CFO Services Group.  He enjoys working with the because “I can tell that they have the same view as I do that the client must come first.”

Cory Dennis

Full Charge Accountant

Cory Dennis is a Full Charge Accountant who joins us with a diverse 7-year background in small business accounting and process efficiency improvement.


Originally from Chesapeake, VA and now residing in Maryland with her husband and three dogs, Cory has spent her life striving to view the world through every possible lens with the goal of finding the best solution to any challenge that may arise. The desire to absorb everything she can stems from her hobby tinkering with vintage BMW’s that began in her early teen years. It is her strength of character that has suited her well in adapting to the ebb and flow of accounting in the small business world.


Dedicating countless hours learning everything possible about accounting through every avenue available, Cory is currently pursuing the completion of a formal accounting education. As a committed study in the nuances of small business accounting, she has enhanced her knowledge base not only with hands-on experience but also through a host of relevant courses and certifications.  

Cory uses her unique adaptability and service-driven personality to enhance the quality of her work. She is a self-motivated, caring individual who puts the needs of others before her own and has proven herself a significant team asset throughout her diverse professional career.

Zuzu Mered

Associate Accountant

Zewditu "Zuzu" Mered tackles her bookkeeping duties at CFO Services Group with a can-do attitude and understanding of our clients books. She enjoys being able to assist and become familiar with the clients needs from the lead accountants in any of the bookkeeping tasks and projects at CFO Services Group.

Eric Linzey

Independent CFO Advisor

William Eric Linzey is a well-seasoned business advisor and coach, with over 25 years of experience working in the private and public sector.  Before coming to CFO Services Group, Eric had an illustrious and impressive career, being employed with the United States Department of Commerce, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and also serving as an accredited Advisor of the United States Government at United Nations meetings in Geneva, Africa, the Caribbean, South American and Central America.

Eric graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography & Environmental Planning.  He continued to obtain his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC)…and to earn a Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. 

Eric is originally from the Caribbean (born in the United States Virgin Islands) and has lived on St. Maarten and Saba, where he enjoyed the outdoor life of beaches, fishing.  He accredits a lot of the lessons he learned from his family’s elders, who instilled life lessons such as “work hard to earn it.”

Eric serves as an independent CFO Advisor with CFO Services Group.  He is the sole owner and operator of his own independent coaching firm, 19Seventeen LLC, which was founded in 2015.  He enjoys working with business owners towards transforming their business goals into reality! Yes, he admits that he has succeeded in many areas but has filed in others…and recognizes that the best lessons came from those failures that taught so many valuable life and business lessons.  The many challenges of being a business owner has allowed Eric to always change his perspectives on life, see things differently, and do things differently without hesitation. Eric looks forward to next challenges that life has for him, in working with the small business and non-profit clients of CFO Services Group.

Brandon Clark

Independent CFO Advisor

Brandon's practice areas include Individual Tax Planning & Preparation, Financial Planning and Small Business Accounting, Tax and Advisory Services.  He enjoys using his broad experience to serve as a trusted advisor in multiple areas of his clients' finances.

Brandon began working as an accountant in public practice in 2008. He has worked for a Big Four multinational accounting firm, a regional firm, and finally, purchased the small tax practice where he was employed in order to form Balanced Financial Solutions (the firm he currently owns and operates). His experience includes financial statement audits, financial reporting, accounting advisory services, tax, and management accounting services.

Brandon received a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology/Anthropology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2004, a Master’s in Business Administration from Howard University in 2008, and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2010. He holds CPA licenses in Virginia and Washington, DC.

The Washington, DC native is a regular yogi and runner and credits these regular activities as a significant contributor to his professional success.  He also enjoys travel, foreign language and cultures, and being outdoors.

Luis Carrasco

Independent CFO Advisor

Luis Carrasco has been in the accounting field since 1994 and has worked in Director of Finance and Controllership roles throughout his career, holding management positions at Branch and Regional levels in the construction, telecommunications, federal government and not-for-profit sectors. 


Luis has been instrumental in the development of financial reporting, implementation of accounting system applications, process improvement, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.  Luis Carrasco is the Managing Partner, CNC Accounting Services a small accounting firm in Annapolis, Maryland.  


Recently, Luis was the Senior Partner at Carrasco, Donnelly & Palmore Accounting Group, Inc. from 2010 to 2015. Luis holds a graduate degree in International Management and an Undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College, College Park, Maryland.

Morgan Jameson

Director of Sales & Marketing

Morgan Jameson comes to CFO Services Group after a long and successful career in fundraising and advocacy work.  Morgan most recently served as the Business Engagement Director for Equality Virginia, a statewide nonprofit organization focusing on equality and nondiscrimination in the work place.  Prior to that he operated his own business, a general consulting firm with a focus in fundraising and communications. Morgan also worked for members of the Virginia General Assembly as a Legislative Assistant for five legislative sessions spanning from 2014 to 2018.

Through his previous experience and professional development, Morgan is well equipped to listen and identify unique needs of individuals and offer creative solutions to bring about desired results. He is a problem solver at heart and will work with you to develop and implement systems to strengthen your infrastructure to save you time and resources…and ultimately deliver success.

Morgan is a local to the greater Washington DC Metro Area, having lived in Northern Virginia most of his life, and is accustomed to the fast passed lifestyle of the region. He is an active member of his community and engaged with the civic process; serving on boards and commissions at various levels.

Morgan is excited to work with small but growing businesses and non-profits to address their unique challenges and help them achieve their goals.

Melissa Hernandez

Executive Assistant

Melissa Hernandez first launched her career with 10 successful years climbing the corporate ladder, managing and directing operational activities for a Fortune 500 company.  Her main responsibility focused on evaluating operational soundness for all offices within her three-state territory.  She ensured all personnel adhered to compliance policies, federal regulations and refined internal processes for the sound application of risk-based practices.  Under her leadership, Hernandez’s offices exceeded operational expectations for a continuous 12-month period.  Hernandez also was responsible for coaching and leading her teams in developing and maintaining positive client relations to ensure long lasting relationships.  During her time in this role, her territory maintained the highest Gallup Poll ratings with the company’s 16-state footprint. 

As an Assistant Vice President, requiring extensive travel and being supported by her own assistant, Hernandez shifted her career in a completely different direction and became an assistant herself, transitioning into the role as an Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of a non-profit.  There, she managed multiple projects, provided exceptional client experiences, while streamlining office operations for significant productivity gains.  During this time as an Executive Assistant, Hernandez has been privy to behind the scenes insight on the continuous level of work and commitment required for “true business” to be executed.

Hernandez is a highly reliable, efficient and dedicated multi-tasker.  Her well-rounded experience in both a support and executive level management role, versatile skill-set, paired with her natural passion to assist others in their own success allows for executives and entrepreneurs alike to find organization within their personal and professional lives. 

Hernandez maintains her sanity by attending boot camp workouts religiously and regular text messaging sessions with her girlfriends, because picking up the phone can sometimes require entirely too much focus after a long day.   Hernandez is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she studied Public Relations and Social Welfare.

Leslie Reyes

Administrative Assistant

Leslie Reyes loves working as a freelance virtual assistant helping business owners by assisting with admin tasks, project management, accounts payable and receivable, and so much more! She previously spent many years in the healthcare industry working as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and a pharmaceutical clinical research assistant for over 25 years. She has received a degree in Medical Administration and have been working the last six years as a medical practice manager performing various projects and tasks related to everyday office work flow, medical billing, and accounts management.


When not working she loves spending time with her grandchildren, dog and doing CrossFit.
